Our Seniors
program
The Research Lower Plenty Baseball Club has a proud tradition of being an inclusive club and encourages players of all ages, gender and ability to play the game of baseball in the spirit of teamwork, respect, hustle, fairness, courage and persistence.
The club fields senior men’s and women’s sides in both the winter and summer seasons, striving to compete at the highest level while also providing opportunities for players of any experience Ability.
- Winter Senior
- Summer Senior
We field men’s teams who play the game to the highest standard, as well as teams who consist of intermediate and developing players. This allows experienced players to play at the highest level possible, whilst providing opportunities for less experienced, either new to the game or juniors moving up through seniors, to play at an appropriate level. By having various levels of play, this also allows for many parents to play with their sons and daughters, a unique experience we cherish.
The club fielded their first women’s only side in 2019 and it provides a supportive environment for female players of all abilities, and particularly encourages female players from the age of 14.
Competitions involve home and away matches within the Melbourne Winter Baseball League, typically playing against teams in the North East suburbs.
The female Roadrunners play on a Sunday morning and participate in the Dandenong Baseball League. Games are scheduled either early morning or midday, and travel is within the North and East suburbs of Melbourne.

The Research Lower Plenty Baseball Club fields men’s and women’s teams in the Victoria Summer Baseball League. This provides an opportunity for those wishing to play in the summer or year round to play with our club. As juniors reach the age of 13 (for females) or 14 (for males), this also allows for many parents to play with their sons and daughters.
The club also fields a team in the masters division for players 38 years and above. This option provides a social team for many of the players who don’t want to play at the higher competitive level but are more inclined to have a social catch up, and a throw and a hit on a Monday night.
Competitions involve home and away matches in the Victorian Summer Baseball League, typically playing against teams in the North East or North West regions of Melbourne.
